The National Youth Coalitions is a network of CSO youths supported by UNICEF and Ministry of Gender and Youth Affairs in Uganda. Formation of the Youth Coalition started in 2011 with the mapping of Youth Organizations throughout Uganda which was conducted by UNICEF. On the ground doing the mapping were Ahmed Shaban and Caroline Barebwoha both from UNICEF Uganda Office. The purpose of the National Youth Coalitions is to bring young people together for a series of training that will empower them to support their organizations and fellow young people throughout the country. After the mapping, there was a second round of meeting the youths from the mapped organizations which carried the said purpose of the coalition. It was then from that, the first round of workshop trains for the regions in Uganda started on the 1st of April 2012 in Arua through Mukono and ended in Kasese on the 2nd May 2012. The second round of the training is yet to begin on the 20th of May and to be climaxed by the National Assembly later in June. Click to download full report
